Start Your Trail Adventure at Rustic Acres: Bike or Hike the Rail 66 Country Trail

If you're the kind of traveler who loves to hit the trail—whether it’s on two wheels or two feet—Rustic Acres might just be your perfect basecamp.

Right from your campsite, you can hop on the Rail 66 Country Trail, a beautiful 20-mile paved path that winds its way through Clarion County, Pennsylvania. And here’s the exciting part: the final section of the trail has just been completed! That means you can now bike or walk directly from Rustic Acres to some of our favorite local spots like Lost in the Wilds Brewery, Dairy Queen, and O'Neil’s Family Market. Keep going and you’ll reach Leeper and even Marianne—without ever needing to get in your car.

This trail is part of the Rails to Trails Clarion PA project and it’s truly a gem. It’s smooth, quiet, and great for riders of all ages. Families love it for an afternoon ride, and long-distance cyclists enjoy the peaceful scenery that stretches for miles.

But it’s not all pavement! Rustic Acres also offers direct access to nearby State Game Lands, where rugged paths and forest trails give off-road bikers and hikers a chance to explore Pennsylvania’s wilder side. These trails are a bit more adventurous, perfect if you're into mountain biking or just love a good walk in the woods.

And just beyond those woods, you’ll find something truly special—the North Country National Scenic Trail. As the longest trail in the National Trails System, it stretches 4,800 miles from North Dakota to Vermont, and passes right by Rustic Acres through the neighboring game lands. It’s a dream for thru-hikers, but even a short stroll along this historic path is an experience to remember.

And don’t worry if biking isn’t your thing. All of these trails are just as enjoyable on foot. A morning hike, an evening stroll, or a day exploring—you can do it all without ever leaving camp.

Whether you’re traveling in an RV, glamping, or just enjoying a peaceful weekend getaway, Rustic Acres is the kind of place where adventure starts the moment you step outside.

If you’ve been looking for an RV park with bike trails, or a quiet place in Pennsylvania to reconnect with nature, come stay with us. We’d love to have you.

See you on the trail.
